Lea holds extensive credentials, including multiple subject and moderate learning disabilities teaching certifications, reflecting her dedication to inclusive education. Her passion for education began young, solidified at the University of the Pacific with degrees in Psychology and Liberal Arts, and furthered with a Master's in Leadership and the Arts from Bank Street in New York City.

Early in her career, Lea taught various grades, showcasing her adaptability. At Charles Armstrong School, she coordinated school accreditation and served as technology coordinator, demonstrating her leadership and forward-thinking approach.

Lea then transitioned into an educational consultant role, providing valuable guidance to San Francisco families. This experience deepened her understanding of individual student needs and and the broader educational landscape.

Feeling called back to the classroom, she joined Head-Royce School, dedicating twelve years to teaching fourth grade. Concurrently, she served as Assistant Lower School Head for seven years, honing her administrative skills and gaining a holistic view of lower school operations.

For the past twelve years, Lea embraced the administrative role as the Lower School Head at Head-Royce. She finds immense satisfaction in fostering a collaborative and professional environment among teachers, admiring their commitment to being lifelong learners. This dedication to continuous growth and excellence is a cornerstone of Lea's educational philosophy.

Most recently, Lea extends her passion to higher learning as an adjunct professor at St. Mary's. In the Kalmanovitz School of Education, she shares her knowledge and experience with graduate and undergraduate students.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Lea leads a vibrant and active personal life. In her free time, she prioritizes her well-being through exercise and family time, as well as satisfies her curiosity through travel, gardening, and reading.
